After our experience with Gmail down and leaves us less e-mail for hours, might be a good idea to allow offline Gmail on your account. The role will be to make local copies of messages in your Gmail account so you can access it when you have no Internet or when there is a failure.
* Log into your account.
* Click Settings> Labs and enable offline. Remember to click Save Changes after.
* You now have a link that says offline. Use it to finish installing the Gmail offline.
